Now this is really disgusting
I just banged my keyboard against my desk and what looks like a scab fell out. I think I need to go wash my hands.

Ewww. I love working from home. My keyboard doesn't disgust me - I just dumped it the other day and nothing fell out.
I used to do phone customer service and when someone would flush the toilet WHILE WE WERE TALKING I would have to go wash my hands.
Godspeed on the OCD hand washing and not finding anything else in your keyboard.
